The closest airport in Nea Achialos is open in the summer period and operates charter flights. The transfer of travelers to the city of Volos is ensured by special busses and taxis. Pelion is in Magnesia, while its advantageous position in the centre of continental Greece enables an easy access to all its visitors. The distance is 326 km from Athens (3 hours), 208 km from Thesssaloniki (2 hours), and 246 km from Ioannina (3,5 hours). To reach southwestern Pelion from the city of Volos, head to Agria, Milies, Tsagarada, Argalasti. The signage for the individual villages is adequate along the road network.
